Clash Detection Process – Best Practices.
Autodesk Navisworks requires us to export our Revit files into Navisworks. The method to do this is to have a Navisworks exporter Add-In installed on your computer in Revit. The other method is to export using the DWFx format or other available formats. Using different methods of importing the files into Navisworks creates somehow a different Data structure, not the model itself but how the Data is structured. Depending on how and what you’d like to clash detect will determine which type of file you will need to export, ie. DWFx, NWC, IFC, FBX.
